Our more advanced courses are aimed at developing your skills and helping you progress to the next level.

One of our experienced RYA qualified instructors will coach you to develop your technique and become more confident, and answer any questions that you might have. As an RYA recognised training centre, we will keep you safe on the water, make sure you're having fun, and can award you internationally recognised qualifications.

If you're not sure which course is right for you then we're more than happy to help, just send us an email at info@kintyreseasports.co.uk

Are you looking to try a new activity?

If you're looking to learn a new activity then have a look at our beginners courses, or if you'd like to have a go before committing then why not try one of our activity sessions?

How old do I need to be?

Generally for a junior course you need to be between 8 and 16 years old, although we can sometimes take slightly younger sailors afloat, especially if they're coming with a parent on a sailing safari.

For adult courses we recommend that you're at least 14 years old, but we're happy to be flexible if you'd rather learn on an adult course.

We don't have an upper age limit for any of our activities. If you feel you may need assistance we'll be more than happy to discuss this with you. We work hard to make our activities as accessible as we can, and there are several modifications we can make to help. Contact us at info@kintyreseasports.co.uk

What about the weather?

The weather on the west coast of Scotland can be variable. However while we can't promise that the weather will be perfect, when the weather is good we think there is nowhere better to sail.

If the weather is wet or cold, then our thick wetsuits, spray tops will help keep you warm.

Strong winds do mean there are days where we have to change the content of the session or occasionally that we can't offer our activity sessions, especially those in sailing boats.  Thankfully, very strong winds are uncommon during the sailing season, Campbeltown Loch is sheltered, and our well maintained boats are set up to cope with anything except for the windiest of days

On the rare occasion that we are unable to run an activity session that you've booked, we'll do our best to offer you an alternative day or activity, or if necessary offer a refund on the session.
