Senior Instructor – development opportunity
Location: Campbeltown, Argyll, PA28
Start: By 31 March 2024, date negotiable
Salary: Between £22,000 and £25,000 P.A. depending on experience
Kintyre Seasports is a ground-breaking charity based on the shores of Campbeltown Loch. We connect community organisations, watersports clubs and education providers and deliver health and well-being, education, and employability opportunities in the form of Changing Lives programmes; as well as non-profit commercial tourism to help cover costs and generate economic benefit for the community. The project is actively supported by RYA Scotland.
We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic Senior Instructor with sailing and paddlesport qualifications to help us take the next step in expanding the project. The SI will primarily deliver sailing and paddlesports instruction, and, depending on qualifications, other courses and activities, working with volunteer instructors in community projects and gaining experience in other disciplines. This is a unique opportunity for personal and professional development, with year round employment on the beautiful Kintyre Peninsula, and a relaxed and efficient working environment.
Please see the documents available below for more information on the role, and for background information on one of our main community programmes and our courses and activities aimed at visitors to the area.
For more information or to register your interest please contact Jamie Rodgers at email@example.com
If you are a freelance instructor and are interested in working for us, please let us know by contacting the centre principal at firstname.lastname@example.org, including an outline CV or list of qualifications and experience.
We currently run courses from the RYA Dinghy Sailing, Powerboat and First Aid schemes, although we are also interested in hearing from any freelance instructors qualified in navigation, SRC or paddlesports.
