This Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you will be processed by us when you contact us or register online to attend an event organised by Kintyre Seasports. By contacting or registering with us, you consent to the collection, retention and use of your personal information in accordance with the terms of this policy.

 

Personal information we collect

You may give us information about you by filling in forms, registering details online or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. We may collect the following personal information:

  • Your name, address, email address and phone numbers to enable us or event organisers to contact you

  • Your date of birth to check eligibility for the event and for participants under 16. 

  • Medical information for the event.

 

How we will use your information

The information you provide will be used to contact you, about your registration and information about the event. We may also contact you to undertake a post-event evaluation. We will not use your personal details for any marketing purpose or share with third parties. 

 

JotForm

We may use JotForm for event registration. Please note that Jotform is a third-party service that is not owned or managed by Kintyre Seasports. You should refer to Jotform's Privacy Policy, as we do not accept responsibility or liability for their policies. 

Social Media and Links from our website

Kintyre Seasports has a Facebook and Twitter page for the purpose of publicity and communication. Please note that the provider of such platform has its own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies.  Please check their policies before you submit any personal data on these platforms.

 

Our website may also contain links to other sites.  Please note that we have no control of third-party websites.  If you provide information to a website to which we link, we are not responsible for its protection and privacy.

Retention of information

We will hold your personal information that you have provided for up 8 weeks for the purpose of evaluation of the event. After 8 weeks all your information will be deleted. 

Photographs and video recording

We may take photos and video filming, and any reproductions or adaptions of the images for fundraising, publicity or other promotional purposes. This might include (but is not limited to), using them on our website, printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.  We will ask for your consent on registration forms.

 

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of this information, please contact us.

Changes to this policy
We may amend this policy from time to time to take account of changes to our processes or changes to data protection or other legislation, so please check it periodically.
